Public Transport
Almost all towns are linked to Malaga City and to each other by means of a large bus network or train connection. A great deal of the coast can also be accessed by bus or train.
Local Trains
The local train from Malaga Airport only goes south as far as Fuengirola, but does stop very close to the bus station, which will take you further to Marbella and Estepona.Many coast towns have a 'tourist train' which take tourists on sightseeing trips around towns
Bus
If you feel there is no need to hire a car, whilst holidaying in Costa del Sol, every town and city has a municipal network of busses providing transportation to the public.
Most operate from the main bus terminals in the towns.
Taxis
Compared to many countries, taxis are reasonably cheap throughout Spain. It is recommend that you use the official taxi services. Official rates should be displayed at airports and inside any licensed taxi.
Car Hire
More visitors rent cars in Spain than any other European country and a hefty percentage of these are in Costa del Sol.
