Driving
The excellent road network in Costa del Sol is better than in any other parts of Andalusia, and this makes travel in the costal areas convenient.
The N-340 coastal road and its relatives tie the coast from one end to the other, making travel between towns by car very easy. The N-340 and A7 toll road also run along the coast in either direction.

When driving
Driving license, car document and insurance must be carried at all times.
Less than 25mg/100ml of alcohol can be in the blood.
Do not use a mobile phone whilst driving.
Two warning triangles have to be carried in the car.
Children under 12 are not permitted in front seats.
Seat belts are worn front and back at all times.
Driving tips
If you are unlucky and have a car accident make sure you obtain the licence plate, drivers name, NI number and the name of the insurance company of the other vehicle. If you need an ambulance, call 112.
