The town consists of 3 main areas:
Benalmadena Pueblo, the village, is located on the mountain side, an old, typical Andalucian village with steep, narrow streets & whitewashed houses.
Arroyo de la Miel is a populated area between the mountains & coast.
Benalmadena Cost is the most visited by tourists, and which sits next to Torremolinos.

Benalmadena is a centre where families can spend time during the day shopping, enjoying a coffee in the numeral cafes or having wonderful meals in any of the numerous restaurants while at night is a place for young "party goers". 

The town also boasts a sea-life centre and the Tivoli theme park in the conjoined village of Arroyo de la Miel.
